BigMint’s billet index surged by INR 400/t d-o-d, settling at INR 37,600/t exw-Raipur. The PDRI-to-billet spread for standalone induction furnaces in Raipur stood at INR 13,250/t.
India’s sponge iron market recorded a sharp price surge of INR 150-650/t d-o-d across locations, led by Raipur, where prices spiked by INR 650/t. Around 15,000 t of sponge iron were booked pan-India.
