With the recent release of trade data by Brazil Customs, it is legible that the export of Semi-finished products from Brazil decreased by 27% M-o-M. The nation exported 0.38 MnT in Jul’16. Approx. 3.50 MnT was exported during Jan-Jul’16.
Among major importers of Brazilian Semi finished products are-
• United States imported 0.16 MnT in Jul’16, registered a downfall of 47% M-o-M and 41% Y-o-Y. The nation imported 0.30 MnT in Jun’16.
• Germany imported 0.05 MnT in Jul’16, registered an increase of 25% Y-o-Y. The nation imported 0.04 MnT in Jul’15. A very nominal quantity was imported in Jun’16.
• Indonesia, being one of the largest importer of Brazilian Semi-finished products registered a downfall of 33% M-o-M and Y-o-Y both. The nation imported 0.04 MnT in Jul’16 and 0.06 MnT in Jun’16 and Jul’15
• Dominican Republic imported 0.03 MnT in Jul’16, remained stable M-o-M and witnesses a 25% downfall on Y-o-Y import. The nation imported 0.03 MnT in Jun’16 and 0.04 MnT in Jun’15.
• Turkey registered a downfall of 25% M-o-M and Y-o-Y both, imported 0.03 MnT in Jul’16 and 0.04 MnT in Jun’16 and Jul’15.
Category of Commodity Exported from Brazil
• Export of “Semi finished products of iron or non-alloy steel of rectangular (including square) cross-section” increased by 100% M-o-M. The nation exported 0.02 MnT in Jul’16 and 0.01 MnT in Jun’16. With export of 0.08 MnT in Jul’15, the nation witnessed a decrease of 75% Y-o-Y.
• The nation exported 0.28 MnT of “Other Semi finished products of iron or non-alloy steel” in Jul’16, registered a downfall of 39% M-o-M and 54% Y-o-Y. Exports remained at 0.46 MnT in Jun’16 and 0.61 MnT in Jul’15.
• Brazil exported 0.09 MnT of “Semi finished products of iron or non-alloy steel” in Jul’16, registered a growth of 50% M-o-M against 0.06 being exported in Jun’16. The nation exported 0.10 MnT in Jul’15, witnessed a downfall of 10% Y-o-Y
