Sources have informed SteelMInt that industrial power tariff in the state of Kerela may be increased by around 30% a unit effective from August 1, 2012. Things are yet to be confirmed.
Currently, industrial power costs around Rs 3.5/unit.
“We have been hearing this, as a local newspaper also covered this yesterday but we still have not received anything official. In fact a 30% power cut may also be announced”, said a manufacturer based in Kerela.
