Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) is the India’s largest steelmaker and produces a variety of steel and iron products including Pig iron, flat and long products and special steels at its plants spread over India.
The company has invited a tender for appointment of a conversion agent from bonafide, resourceful firm/company for conversion of semi finished into 2,000 MT structurals per month at Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. The tender will be kept valid for 90 days from the date of technical bid opening.
Material and there sizes after conversion is required as:

Successful bidder will be appointed as the conversion agent (CA) initially for a period of 4 years, extendable by 1 years solely at the discretion of SAIL subject to satisfactory performance.
Eligibility criteria
1. Bidder should have a valid Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) license for manufacture of light, medium and heavy structural materials of required sizes.
2. Bidder needs to submit the current dated banker’s certificate, income tax returns with acknowledgment and audit financial statement.
3. The minimum average annual turnover of the bidder should be INR 1 crore and net worth should be positive.
4. Bidder whose contract has been terminated and who have blacklisted, shall not be considered eligible.

Pre bid meeting: 17 Aug’16 at 15:00 hrs IST
Bid submission due date: 20 Aug’16 at 15:00 hrs IST
Tender opening: 20 Aug’16 at 15:30 hrs IST
The last tender for appointment of a conversion agent at Kanpur for converting semi finished into 4,000 MT structurals per month has been expired on 5 Aug’16.
