Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang decreased by INR 100/t d-o-d on 23 Jun’25. According to BigMint’s assessment, HMS (80:20) prices are at INR 32,100/t ($370/t) ex-yard. The downward trend in semi-finished and finished steel, prices, which dropped by INR 100-200/t, has weighed on overall market sentiment. That apart, average scrap trade movements prompted suppliers to reduce their offers today.
