For the e-auction held on 26 Jul’16, OMC has offered 95,270 MT chrome ore. Out of this 80,550 MT was friable ore, 2,280 MT were concentrate, and 8,250 hard lumps and 3,850 chips and fines.
The company has offered 70,800 MT material from South Kalapani Chromite Mines, 12,170 MT material from Bangur Mines, 9,800 MT from Sukrangi Chromite Mines, and 2,500 MT from COBP Kalapani.
Total 40,000 MT was sold from South Kalapani Chromite Mines and 3,500 MT sold from Bangur Mines. The whole lot of Sukrangi Mines remained unsold.
For the current round of e-auction, the company has increased base prices for some grades. The +54% grade chrome ore base price was at INR 10, 450/MT and the H1 bid received was at INR 10,640/MT. The 52-54% grade base price was at INR 10,053/MT and the H1 price received was at INR 10,152/MT. The 48-50% grade chrome ore base price was at INR 7,568/MT and H1 price was at INR 7,668/MT. Also, all the grades below 46-48% remained unsold in this e-auction.
