India’s stainless steel scrap prices remained stable w-o-w amid weak sentiment from sluggish finished demand and slow imports. Domestic 304-grade scrap stood at INR 114,000/t ($1,332/t) ex-Delhi, and imported at $1,310/t CFR Mundra. LME nickel prices stood at $15,430/t, remaining stable w-o-w. However, a major player was heard booking 304-grade scrap recently at around $1,320/t.
