India: Domestic coal prices drop amid tepid demand

Domestic coal prices declined this week as weak industrial demand and sufficient availability kept market sentiment bearish. Both 4500 and 5000 GCV grades dropped by INR 50/t to INR 4,250/t and INR 4,750/t exw-Bilaspur, respectively. In recent trades, 5000 GCV was booked for West Bengal at INR 6,900/t exw-Raipur , while an ECL G4 grade deal for 6,000 t was concluded at INR 6,650/t.
