India: Domestic coal prices dip on weak demand, slow offtake

Domestic coal prices softened as buying interest remained muted. 4500 GCV grade dropped by INR 50 to INR 4,300/t exw-Bilaspur, while 5000 GCV stayed at INR 4,800/t. SECL allocated 676,200 t in its 26 May auction, mostly power-grade G11 coal. With bulk allocation going to power plants, industrial demand remains low, keeping prices under pressure.
