As per Japan’s latest customs data, country’s crude steel output has registered a fall of 2% in Jun’16 against previous month and is recorded at 8.76 MnT.
If Y-o-Y comparison is done then country’s crude steel output in Jun’16 has registered a fall of 1.79% against June’15.
In first half of year 2016, country’s crude steel output totalled to 51.97 MnT while the same was recorded at 53.05 MnT in corresponding period of previous year.
Flat Products Output
Japan’s HRC production decreased by 6% in Jun’16, M-o-M basis and stood at 3.52 MnT. Its CRC output also decreased by 5% on monthly basis and stood at 1.48 MnT.
However, country’s plates output registered an increase of 14% and is recorded at 0.92 MnT in May’16.
From Jan’16 to Jun’16, country’s HRC production stands at 22 MnT, CRC output is at 9.11 MnT and plates production is recorded at 5.13 MnT.
