India’s sponge iron export offers to Nepal and Bangladesh dropped by $4/t w-o-w to $335/t CPT Raxaul and $5/t to $340/t CPT Benapole, respectively, as per BigMint’s assessment. Despite a downward correction driven by weak buying interest, the market failed to see an uptick in demand. Trading activity was notably subdued, with confirmed sales to Bangladesh amounting to only around 3,500 t.
