- China’s iron ore imports increased by 10% m-o-m to 103.14 mnt in Apr’25, up by 1% y-o-y compared to 94.03 mnt in Mar and 101.82 mnt in Apr’24, respectively, as per General Administration of Customs of China.
- Cumulative imports in Jan-Apr’25 reached 388.53 mnt, a 5.6% decrease y-o-y.
- The rise was driven by improved supply from Australian and Brazilian miners, pre-Labour Day restocking, and seasonal demand increase.
