South Africa, one of the largest exporters of Manganese ore, exported 1.15 MnT material in May’16; increased by 13.86% against 1.01 MnT in Apr’16 and 27.78% compared to 0.90 MnT in May’15.
There has been a growth of 116.98% in export during Jan-May’16. About 0.53 MnT ore was exported in Jan’16 and 4.54 MnT till May’16.
China, the largest importer of South African Manganese ore, imported 0.70 MnT in May’16, followed by India, South Korea, Russian Federation and Norway with total respective import of 0.15 MnT, 0.05 MnT, 0.05 MnT and 0.05 MnT in May’16.

India imported 0.44 MnT of Manganese ore during the period of Jan-May’16, which is 15.78% more than the quantity imported in the same period last year.
