Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market decreased by INR 200/t d-o-d on 15 Apr’25. According to BigMint’s assessment, HMS (80:20) stood at INR 34,800/t ($406/t) ex-yard. A decline of INR 200-400/t was observed for semi-finished and finished steel in the region during yesterday’s trading session. This, combined with average scrap trade activity, prompted suppliers to adjust their offers downward today.
