China: Steel billet prices drop RMB 10/t ($1/t) as local trade slows

Weak local sales and fluctuating export offers pressured prices, while a weaker dollar and rapid price shifts added to trade challenges.
SHFE rebar futures (May’25) slipped d-o-d by RMB 26/t ($4/t) to RMB 3,191/t ($441/t) on 18 Mar’25.
