Indian Billet Offers Fall on Poor Off-take

Billet offers fell marginally by INR 100-150/MT against last day closing. Poor off-take by mill operators has led to fall in Indian billet offers.

Billet agents from east coast (Durgapur & Rourkela) also mentioned that manufacturers are willing for bulk buyers to sell material in advance due to sluggish market sentiments.

Trade-wise
1. Gobindgarh (Punjab) based traders mentioned that Durgapur billet is available at INR 24,000/MT on ready delivery and advance payment basis.
2. Billet makers based in Durgapur and Rourkela are supplying material to north market i.e. Punjab.
3. Power cut in Raipur based industrial areas is still affecting ingot/billet production, leading to thin price fluctuation despite poor off-take.
4. Billet offers are unchanged in south, following slight price change in central & east Indian billet offers.
