Georgian scrap exports to Turkey shed by nearly 68 percent in Jan-July 2012

It is reported that Turkey,
the main importer of Georgian ferrous scrap, has imported amounted to 59,992 MT
during January-July period this year. Total imports have fallen by 67.9 percent
Y-o-Y.

Georgia's exports to
Turkey continue to decline from almost a year, since the January-July period of
2011.

The total revenue of the
imports has reached to $21.9 million, down by 68.2 percent comparatively from
the same period last year. During the period, the average price for export was $365/MT
CFR Turkey i.e. also down by $4/MT CFR at $369/MT in the corresponding period
of 2011.
