SAIL has released an Expression of Interest (EOI) for purchase of ferro alloy i.e. HC ferro manganese and silico manganese for its various plants.
Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) is the India’s largest steelmaker and produces a variety of steel and iron products including Pig iron, flat and long products and special steels at its plants spread over India.
The company invites bidders for purchase of high carbon ferro manganese and silico manganese from overseas manufacturers, suppliers, importers, and Indian traders for its various plants. The current consumption for HC ferro manganese and silico manganese is around 80,000 MT and 125,000 MT respectively.
BSP is a flagship unit of SAIL and procuring these ferro alloys centrally for all other SAIL units. Presently, company is procuring the material from domestic sources and has now invited this EOI to expand the vendor base.
