At the time of reporting, three ferro silicon plants in Meghalaya remain closed since the last two-three days due to pollution control violations, according to credible sources. Reports suggest more plants may face similar action. If the shutdown extends, it could impact the ferro silicon supply chain and prices, as Meghalaya is a major production hub in North east India.
