Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Alang, Gujarat, remained stable for the fourth consecutive day on 28 Jan’25. According to BigMint’s assessment, HMS (80:20) prices were at INR 33,500/t ($387/t) ex-yard. During yesterday’s trading session, moderate trade activity was observed for semi-finished and finished steel in the region. This, coupled with decent demand for scrap, prompted suppliers to maintain stable offers today.
