Grade of HCC 64 mid vol coal was heard to trade at $133 per metric ton, whereas Argus premium HCC grade was hovering at $160.44/MT and that of Premium low vol was at $156/MT ($170 CFR India).
Hearing the offers, buyers remained cautious and hesitated to comment on prices going forward. According to a source, number of buyers in different regions have started to de-stock the material as the domestic material in China was available at $157 CFR Jintang.
On the other hand, a large mill in China was heard to have offers of $160 per MT (Australian HCC Premium Low Vol @ $169 CFR China) for late September but the claims could not be verified as the market participants said this offer is unlikely to prevail based to current market condition.
