“Producers of Pig Iron in Jharsuguda, Rourkela and Durgapur have closed Pig Iron bookings looking at weak buying and poor sales of finished products”, said manufacturers.
“A private company in Chennai is to export 400 tons of containerized foundry grade Pig Iron at $525 cfr Taiwan this week”, shared sources.
“Steel grade price is quoted in the range of Rs 23,000-23,500/MT (Basic price) depending on purchases of above 20,000 tons.
Shipment of last export deal is expected to take place by the 20th of this month. Also, the recent export tender might be re-tendered if response is not good”, said a senior official at Vizag Steel.
