JSW based in Dolvi is offering gas based P-DRI at INR 15,500/MT ex-works, with a discount of upto INR 250/MT on purchase of bulk quantity i.e. 500-1,500 MT.
As per sources, the plant has started its operations in the last month i.e. Apr’16. Now, the company has finally opened its sales for domestic buyers.
In general, 84 FeM DRI offered by JSW gives recovery of 87-88%. While, domestic scrap gives recovery of 94-95%, which is currently available at around INR 16,200/MT in Wada (Mumbai) market.
Smelters from Wada (Mumbai) mentioned, “We are not prefering sponge from JSW as its current offer is higher than domestic scrap prices. DRI offers should be offered at around INR 14,500/MT, so that buyers could be able to purchase it.”
Freight cost from JSW Dolvi’s plant to Wada is INR 1,100/MT and to Jalna is INR 1,300/MT via road route.
