“Vizag Steel fetched bid at $410/t fob today for 30,000 tons steel grade export tender floated in the first week of September.
Shipment of the material is expected to take place in October and that of last deal will take place by the 20th of September”, said a senior official at RINL. Officials have not revealed the name of country.
As demand of Pig Iron has improved from last month, market participants did expect a good response for the tender.
For domestic steel mills, price is stable at Rs 24,500/MT (Basic price) and is also being quoted in the range of Rs 23,000-23,500/MT for purchases of quantity above 20,000 tons.
