Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) has floated a global tender for the export of prime mild steel non alloy concast billet of 5,000-10,000 MT quantity.
The material to be exported with comprise of size 150 *150*12,000 mm. Export duty as applicable in sellers country shall be borne by the seller and other duties payable shall be borne by buyer. Bids for the same will be open on 03 May’16.
Two grades of concast billet have been offered in the tender:

Prices should be quoted on FoB Haldia basis. Also, on closure of deal with the concerned party, the shipping of the material will commence from 30 Jun’16. Prices are to be quoted per MT basis for all the markets.
Vizag Steel Concluded 40,000 MT Billet export tender
Largest billet exporter, Vizag Steel has recently concluded an export deal for 40,000 MT billet/bloom through tender held on 11 Apr’16. Three companies participated in the tender namely Duferco, Tata International and Nucor. Duferco was the highest bidder, followed by Tata International and Nucor.
Total 40,000 MT (30,000 MT bloom and 10,000 MT billet) material had concluded at around USD 362.8/MT, FoB Vizag Port (Indian East Coast). Cargo is likely to be shipped to Bangladesh in May.
