- Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA), a UAE-based aluminium conglomerate, has acquired a majority stake (80%) in Spectro Alloys, a secondary foundry alloy producer in the US. EGA now has production capacities, from bauxite mining to aluminium recycling, on four continents.
- Notably, the US is already one of EGA’s largest global markets. In 2023, EGA sold approximately 550,000 t of primary aluminium in the country.
