Tokyo Steel has further reduced domestic scrap procurement prices effective from 6 Sep’24. The company lowered prices by JPY 500/t ($3/t) at its Tahara, Nagoya, Kyushu, Kansai, Takamatsu, Okayama, and Utsunomiya plants. Post-revision, prices at the Tahara, Okayama, Kansai, and Kyushu plants stood at JPY 45,000/t ($313/t), at Takamatsu and Utsunomiya stood at JPY 44,000/t ($306/t), and at Nagoya stood at JPY 43,500/t ($303/t).
