BigMint’s bi-weekly domestic pellet (Fe63%) index remained stable at INR 8,950/tonne ($107/t) DAP Raipur on 27 August, 2024, compared to 23 August. Raipur buyers booked around 39,000 t of pellets (Fe62.5%) from Odisha at INR 8,500-8,700/t DAP Raipur a couple of days back.
BigMint’s domestic end-cutting scrap index tracking the Mandi Gobindgarh market rose by INR 200/t to INR 37,300/t DAP on 27 August, 2024.
Sponge iron prices in India rose by INR 100-350/tonne (t) across markets. Meanwhile, PDRI prices closed at the range of INR 23,700-26,500/t. On the other hand, CDRI prices concluded at INR 26,000-30,000/t.About 8,150 t of sponge iron transactions were recorded in the country on 27 August, 2024 compared to 16,300 t on 26 August.
