Deals for 30,000-35,000 t of imported HRCs from China have been concluded at $490-495/t CFR Mumbai for Sep’24 shipments. A Chinese source informed, “All risks have been taken by the customer for the BIS license.” This decision follows the highly competitive Chinese prices, which have pushed Indian buyers to prefer imported HRCs.
