Iron ore fines (Fe 62%) spot prices fell d-o-d by $1/t to $96/t CFR China on 23 Aug’24 amid weak downstream steel demand. Market participants are pessimistic about a near-term recovery in demand, especially with the lack of restocking ahead of China’s national holiday in October.
