Thailand: Ferrous scrap imports drop 18% y-o-y in H1CY’24

Thailand’s imports of ferrous scrap stood at 577,509 t in H1CY’24, a decrease of 18% compared with the same period of last year. Meanwhile, imports rose by 4% m-o-m reaching 96,263 t in Jun as against 92,389 t in May. The US remained the leading exporter at 23,172 t followed by Japan and Australia at 10,367 t and 9,957 t, respectively.
