BHEL has packed away this significant request for setting up a 1,600 MW coal-based power venture with supercritical parameters, including two units of the nation’s most noteworthy rating 800 MW sets in Tamil Nadu.
State-run Bharat Heavy Electricals (BHEL) has got a Letter of Award (La) for establishing a super critical coal-based thermal power plant in the state of Tamil Nadu. The company has managed to pack away this request for setting up the 1,600 MW coal-based thermal power venture with supercritical parameters, including two units of the nation’s most elevated rating 800 MW sets.
This highly talked about power undertaking will encourage development in Tamil Nadu and give simple access to power to the general population of the state.The project is believed to be on floor by Sept’19.
It is to be noted that the company has bagged the project against International Competitive Bidding (ICB).
The request is esteemed at around INR 56 bn and is situated in Ramanathapuram district of Tamil Nadu. The project has been set by Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation (TANGEDCO). Essentially, this is the second 800 MW rating supercritical request granted to BHEL from TANGEDCO within a month.
Prior in this month, it had won the primary plant package contract for 1*800 MW North Chennai Super critical TPP Stage III.
