Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market decreased by INR 200/t d-o-d on 18 Jul’24. According to BigMint’s assessment, HMS (80:20) prices stand at INR 35,500/t ($425/t) ex-yard. Semi-finished and finished steel prices fell by around INR 200-300/t in the region during yesterday’s trading session due to limited demand. Additionally, moderate trade activities in scrap prompted suppliers to reduce their offers today.
