The South Asian ferrous scrap market showed mixed trends today. India’s demand remained slow due to bid-offer disparities and a sluggish domestic steel market. Pakistani buyers adopted a need-based approach, while Bangladeshi buyers faced delays in LC approvals. Shredded scrap offers from the UK/Europe were:
- India: $410-414/t CFR Nhava Sheva
- Pakistan: $426/t CFR Qasim
- Bangladesh: $424/t CFR Chattogram
