Taiwan’s scrap imports stood at 257,350 t in Apr’24, up 4% from 246,733 t a month ago. However, on a y-o-y basis, scrap imports dropped 11% against 288,455 t in Apr’23. The highest volume of imports in Apr’24 came from the US at 120,790 t, followed by Japan and the Dominican Republic at 52,255 t and 13,164 t, respectively.
