OMC has scheduled an auction for around 3 mnt of iron ore (1.81 mnt of fines and 1.19 mnt of lumps) on 21 May’24. The company has increased base prices m-o-m by up to INR 550-580/t for high grade lots in both fines and lumps. Restocking demand before monsoons and hike in sponge iron and steel prices have supported the price hike.
