“Pig Iron demand has not improved much and is decent presently.
The major factor which has impacted Pig Iron buying is less money in the system and limited availability of raw materials”, said a senior official at Jai Balaji Industries Pvt Ltd based at Durgapur, West Bengal.
“Currently, steel grade Pig Iron offers stand at Rs 25,300/MT (Basic) which is to be stable on firm raw material prices and buying might not take place in large quantities as of now.
We are selling around 15,000 tons of Pig Iron every month and for September also, it was the same”, he added.
