BKG Mining held an auction for 52,000 t of iron ore from its Haddinapade mines, Karnataka on 17 May’24. Out of the total quantity, 20,000 t were iron ore lumps (10-40 mm, Fe 42.5%) and 32,000 t were fines (Fe 43-63%). According to sources, only 12,000 t high-grade fines (Fe 63%) were booked at INR 4,690-4,700/t against the base price of INR 4,500/t. Prices exclude royalty, DMF and NMET.
