Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) conducted an auction for 20,000 t of iron ore dump fines (Fe 56.86%) from its Bolani mines in Odisha on 11 May’24. According to sources, the entire quantity got booked at INR 3,050/t against the base price of INR 2,850/t. Notably, bid prices were higher by INR 200/t. Price is on ex-mines basis, including royalty, DMF, NMET & an extra premium.
