Steel major, Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), conducted an auction for 3,200 t (60 kg and 52 kg, full length) of commercial rails on 20 Apr’24 from Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP) in Chhattisgarh. Buyers booked around 3,000 t of 60 kg rails at an average price of INR 41,150/t exw. Meanwhile, 200 t of 52 kg rails were booked at INR 71,000/t exw.
