Coal stock at major Indian ports fell by 20% in a week’s time.
SteelMint assessed that total coal stock at Indian ports was 9.7 MnT at the end of Week 2. Non-coking coal stock was assessed at 8 MnT. whereas, total coking coal stock was 1.4 MnT; fell by 35% against last week.

Ports with highest coal stock
Paradip and Tuticorin ports were reported to have the highest coal stock of about 2.2 and 1.6 MnT respectively. Kandla Port was reported to hold about 1.2 MnT at the end of week under review.
Adani emerged out as the highest coal stock holder, carrying about 1.1 MnT together at different ports at the end of this week.
