China’s steel demand to remain flat for CY’24: WSA

China’s steel demand will remain stable for CY’24 at 895.7 mnt, according to the World Steel Association’s (WSA) short range outlook. This stability is expected despite a decline in real estate investment, as growth in infrastructure and manufacturing sectors is likely to offset this loss. However, steel demand is projected to dip slightly by 1% y-o-y to 886.7 mnt in CY’25.
