Coal Ministry received 10 offline bids on 2 Feb’24 for seven coal mines in the eighth round of auctions, initiated in Nov’23 with 39 blocks on offer. Two mines received multiple bids. Online bids, part of the ongoing process, will be unveiled on 5 Feb’24 . The initiative aims to boost private sector involvement and enhance coal production.
