“The most important factor pushing demand of Iron Pellets is scarcity of iron ore in the country.
There is no major reason other than this which has called for an increase in buying volumes”, pointed out Mr. Hendez Johns, Sales Manager of Xindia Steels Ltd at Bangalore, Karnataka.
“We might add Rs 200/MT to present values of Iron Pellets, in the range of Rs 7,800-8,000/MT (Basic) as it is being sold out easily.
Mines are not expected to open anytime soon and supply the required quantity of iron ore in domestic market”, he remarked.
He also added that the 60,000 to 65,000 tons of Iron Pellets that is produced by the company is sold out easily and that they have purchased iron ore from e-auctions due to unavailability.
