India’s exports of semi-finished aluminium increased by 15.7% to 179,423 t in Dec’23 from Nov’s 155,088 t. However, a modest 3.8% y-o-y decline was observed in CY’23. In Dec, aluminium ingots dominated exports at 158,276 t (up 16% m-o-m) followed by billets at 20,270 t (up 11.5%). Malaysia was the top importer with 61,613 t followed by Japan and China at 25,836 t and 23,069 t, respectively.
