Market for flat steel remains stable with economic
activities slowing down and decline in new infrastructure projects.
Currently the market for HRC 2.5MM stands at Rs 40,400/MT
and that of CRC stands at Rs 45,000/MT (Ex-Ludhiana) whereas on the other hand price
of HR Plate for 5-20MM stands at Rs 34,000/MT (Ex-Delhi).
Also weakening of Ingot prices in all major markets has affected
the demand in long and flat steel market. “Demand is poor we expect the market
to revive by the end of this month or by early November”- said a company official
from Delhi on Wednesday.
