MMTC’s tender for export of 38,000 MT chrome concentrate has been awarded to Tata Steel Asia (Hong Kong) Limited.
Metal & Mineral Trading Corporation (MMTC), a state owned trading house, is one of the major global players in the minerals trade and single largest exporter of minerals from India.
The company had invited interested overseas buyers for purchase of 30,000 MT chrome concentrate (50/48% Cr) and 8,000 MT low silica chrome concentrate (56/54% Cr) of Indian origin through its export tender for December shipment.
The material has been offered by Tata Steel, Indian origin. This tender expired on 10 Nov’15, and has been awarded to Tata Steel Asia (Hong Kong) Limited at USD 210/MT FOB Gangavaram Port / Vizag Port (Andhra Pradesh).
The last MMTC chrome ore (50/48% cr) tender of 22,000 MT had been awarded to Avani Resources Pte. Ltd., a Singapore based company at USD 205/MT.
IDCOL Tender to be Finalized this Week
IDCOL had invited bids for purchase of 25,000 MT of low grade chrome ore (below 30% Cr) to be dispatched by road from Talangi Chromite Mines, Jajpur, Odisha.
This tender expired on 12 Nov’15, but has not yet been concluded and a final decision is expected to be made this week.
