Iron Pellets producers in the country have benefited in terms of prices at which it is being offered to domestic buyers. In a couple of months, offers been increased by Rs 1,500/MT.
There are not many chances of supplying Iron Pellets to international market as it is being absorbed in large quantities and at high prices in the country itself.
But imports is no doubt an option to meet with the long term requirement of domestic users. The major reason being that production of Iron Pellets might be lowered due to less supply of iron ore from Odisha and Karnataka.
It is heard that there are offers of Iron Pellets in the range of $140-145/MT C&F India from countries such as Brazil and Australia currently.
