Steam coal prices of South African origin of 6000 NAR
increased to reach $86/MT FOB on the back of less availability of vessels from South
Africa.
On the other hand, Australian 6000 NAR and Indonesian 3800 GAR
material is available at $84/MT and $32.50/MT FOB respectively with prices
remaining firm from its offers in last week. Dollar against Rupee has moved up
stronger over the week making imports of material dearer.
“Market is expected to see further improvement in the near
term as the volume of the trades are increasing”- said a source from Mumbai.
