Sponge iron (DRI) prices in Indian market kept unchanged at similar levels from last week, when prices gained almost Rs 1,000/t on rising steel prices and strong demand.
Current offers stand at Rs 18,500-20,500/t ($335-370/t), ex-works. Manufacturers see prices to firm up in the month of January on improved demand for finished steel.
